Short term results for long term sacrifice

I talk a lot about 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨.

Semi “ra ra” stuff about buckling down and building your life from the ground up, staying out of victim mindset and putting on your boxing gloves to keep your mindset straight.

But what about short term results for long term sacrifice?

𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝙛𝙚𝙡𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚.

Good money in the short term.

Tolerable work,

fun shifts,

the time flies,

often followed by fun booze and drug-induced adventures.

But there were no long term soul-fire, legacy-building vibes in that industry for me.

I had to find something that was giving me long term hope in regards to impact and a financial legacy for my family.

I’ve worked in restaurants for over half my life, and have worked both online and as a server on and off for the last four years. We even owned a restaurant for one of them.

I found gratitude for the industry deepened with my certainty in my entrepreneurial future,

I flipped the restaurant industry work to 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢 𝙨𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙨. It paid the bills while I reinvested in my business.

My soul had an exit strategy and that was my focus.

The instant gratification and empty dreams eat away at you.

Have you noticed?

Other jobs do it too, managers, desk jobs, mundane AF ways to fill your pockets.

So, now you have a choice.

A bear market (when the stock market is dropping), is not great for a lot of the wealth in our world.

But it’s where entrepreneurs thrive.

There’s been a land rush over the last few years — personal brands and influencers planting a flag in the online space, sharing their values and unique message.

And the qualifier to plant a flag in the online space??

The qualifier is simply possessing the desire to have a voice, to have magnetic conviction and to be willing to bet on yourself.

That’s pretty much it.
